Lucas Oil Supports Launch of Marvella Mobile During WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (July 18, 2025) – Lucas Oil, the world leader and distributor of high-performance automotive additives and lubricants, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Marvella Mobile initiative, a community-focused mobile sports unit making its debut during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. Lucas Oil joins as a Homecourt-level partner, continuing the company’s mission to support youth development, women’s sports and the communities that fuel its success.

Marvella is a bold, Indiana-based initiative focused on advancing women’s sports. A state-of-the-art sports complex is set to break ground in the Fair Oaks area soon, with a two-year build timeline. This future facility will support 12 different sports, leadership training, sports and broadcast education, and is expected to drive tourism and economic growth across the region.

To begin engaging the community right away, Marvella is launching a mobile experience unit to bring programming directly to kids across Indiana and Illinois, with plans for national expansion. From July 17–20, Marvella Mobile will roll into Indianapolis for four days of meaningful community activations around WNBA All-Star – blending athletic play, mental health awareness, and conversations around health equity. Lucas Oil is proud to be one of Marvella’s first official sponsors, with brand visibility featured on the vehicle as it travels throughout the Midwest.

“We are grateful to have Lucas Oil as our partner for the Marvella Mobile initiative,” said Marvella President Allison Barber, PhD. “Their commitment to community is inspiring and we look forward to expanding their impact as we travel the state conducting Marvella Mini-sports camps for kids.”

The mobile unit will bring athletic clinics, leadership development, and wellness programming directly to kids. With its official launch during Indiana Fever legend Tamika Catchings’ youth basketball camp at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, the unit will become a central feature of the city’s WNBA All-Star festivities before embarking on a regional tour in 2025-2026.

“Marvella Mobile is an incredible initiative that brings sports, mentorship, and leadership development directly to kids in the communities where they live, and that’s something we’re proud to support,” said Katie Lucas, President, Lucas Oil. “As a company with deep roots in Indiana, the partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to investing in the next generation and continuing to support the sports community here in the Hoosier State.

As part of its Homecourt sponsorship, Lucas Oil will receive brand placement on the vehicle, digital media visibility, and representation in youth-facing activities including coaches’ workshops and swag bag giveaways throughout the tour’s more than 25 annual stops.

Lucas Oil’s involvement with Marvella Mobile is part of its larger commitment to supporting women’s sports and strengthening Indiana’s reputation as a national sports hub. Lucas Oil continues to invest in initiatives that align with Indiana Sports Corp’s 2050 Vision – a statewide strategy to use sports as a catalyst for economic development, tourism, and community engagement. By supporting efforts like Marvella and deepening longstanding ties with Indiana’s top teams, Lucas Oil is helping to shape a vibrant and forward-thinking sports ecosystem across the state.
