2026 campaign to build on decade-long technical partnership and introduce new fan activations tied to each sponsored race
INDIANAPOLIS (May 11, 2026) – Lucas Oil returns as the primary sponsor of Richard Childress Racing’s No. 8 Chevrolet, driven by two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, for three marquee NASCAR Cup Series races in 2026.
The partnership continues their technical alliance between Lucas Oil, RCR and ECR Engines that stretches back more than a decade, focused on maximizing performance, durability and efficiency at NASCAR’s highest level.
Fans will see the iconic red, white and blue Lucas Oil colors on Kyle Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet at three races in 2026:
- May 17 – NASCAR All-Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway
- Sept. 13 – Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway
- Oct. 11 – Bank of America 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
New for 2026, Lucas Oil is extending the on‑track partnership to fans with a limited‑edition Kyle Busch Collector Merch Box series tied to each sponsored race. One lucky fan may receive a Special Collector Box – one VIP box randomly distributed within each of the releases. The Special Box will include race tickets with VIP access or autographed memorabilia from Kyle Busch.
The merch boxes will be made available for purchase in limited quantities ahead of each Lucas Oil primary race. Fans will be able to purchase the first Kyle Busch Collector Merch Box through lucasoilmerch.com in May ahead of the first Lucas Oil sponsored race on May 17 at Dover Motor Speedway.
Lucas Oil’s longstanding partnership with RCR and ECR Engines highlights the organization’s superior performance and reliability through track-proven oils and additives trusted by some of NASCAR’s elite figures. With Busch and RCR competing at the sport’s highest level, the campaign reinforces Lucas Oil’s position as the go-to brand for automotive enthusiasts who demand top-tier results.
“The RCR team shares the same mindset we have about performance and the relentless drive to improve,” said Morgan Lucas, CEO of Lucas Oil. “We’re proud to elevate our presence again in 2026 with three premier races that showcase the strength of our technical collaboration. Working side-by-side with their team gives us the opportunity to push our lubricants to the limit and we’ve seen firsthand how incremental performance gains add up over the course of a season. What we learn on the track helps us build better products for racers, enthusiasts and everyday drivers. I’m excited to see the Lucas Oil colors back on the No. 8 and to keep building on what we’ve achieved together.”
As part of the ongoing partnership, Lucas Oil continues to work closely with RCR and ECR Engines to develop and test new lubricants under the most demanding racing conditions. Insights gained through on-track collaboration help inform product innovation across Lucas Oil’s consumer and professional lines.
“The team at Lucas Oil has been embedded in our performance culture for years now,” said Mike Verlander, President of RCR. “Their products and engineering support play an important role in our overall performance package at RCR and ECR. Having a partner invest in R&D and work alongside us in an extremely technical way only enhances our trust in Lucas Oil. We’re thrilled to have them back on the No. 8.”
