Lucas Oil Leaders Morgan & Katie Lucas Named Among Indiana’s 250 Most Influential Leaders

INDIANAPOLIS (July 25, 2025) – Lucas Oil is proud to announce that CEO Morgan Lucas and President Katie Lucas have been named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2025 Indiana 250 list. The highly selective list recognizes the state’s most influential business and community leaders, representing public and private companies, law firms, universities, not-for-profits, government and community organizations.

As CEO, Morgan Lucas has carried forward the vision of company founder Forrest Lucas by expanding Lucas Oil’s product lineup and keeping its headquarters, ISO-certified R&D lab – and hundreds of jobs – in Indianapolis. Over the past year the company also opened a new grease plant in Corydon, adding engineering talent and manufacturing capacity in southern Indiana and reinforcing the company’s Hoosier roots. This is Morgan’s third consecutive year on the Indiana 250 list.

“Indiana has always been homebase for our family and for Lucas Oil,” said Morgan Lucas. “Being named to the Indiana 250 is really a nod to the 500‑plus Hoosiers who pour their talent into our products every day. When the state succeeds, we succeed – and we’re excited to keep building together.”

As President, Katie Lucas oversees day-to-day operations and long-term strategic vision, providing oversight of company policies, culture, campaigns and growth initiatives as well as leading the company’s corporate giving and community engagement efforts. Under her guidance, Lucas Oil supports numerous local organizations that align with the company’s core values of service, integrity and teamwork aimed at improving the lives of people in the Indianapolis community.

“Every big step Lucas Oil takes starts with a question: how does this help our customers and how does this help the people right here in our community?” said Katie Lucas. “Whether it is a new product line or investing in partnerships, the goal is the same – to improve and impact lives. This recognition tells us we are moving in the right direction.”

Katie serves as Board Chair of the Ascension St. Vincent Foundation and holds leadership roles with the Indianapolis Zoo, Grit & Grace Nation Foundation, Called to Care, Indiana University Women’s Philanthropy Council and the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation. Morgan serves on the board of Wheeler Mission and the Medal of Honor Museum’s National Advisory Council.

As one of Indiana’s most recognizable brands, Lucas Oil backs hometown sports and community partners including the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Indianapolis Colts, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. The family’s generosity also helped create the new Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital, set to open later this year.

Now in its fourth year, the Indiana 250 highlights individuals who are shaping Indiana’s economic, civic, and cultural future. The list is curated by IBJ Media, publisher of the Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside INdiana Business, and The Indiana Lawyer.
