What is the best trip you’ve been on?
In 2004, my wife, kids and I took 17 days and drove to the Grand Canyon and every place in between. We stayed in hotels, cabins and had several nights under the stars in a tent. Enjoy your kids, they grow up too fast!
If you could pick any superpower, what would you pick and why?
It would be a new superhero: “Anti-Lazy Man” Riddling the world of laziness!
What do you love about working at Lucas Oil?
My favorite part of Lucas Oil is that back in 2009 Forrest Lucas saw something in me and gave me nearly free rein to design and change things to make our operation better. His willingness to trust me gave me the push I needed to realize, as most everyone that knows me has heard me say, “you can do anything you want to if you want to learn how.”
We are thrilled to welcome some new faces to our Lucas Oil family! Please give a warm welcome to our May new hires:

This month's book recommendation is Good Awkward: How to Embrace the Embarrassing and Celebrate the Cringe to Become the Bravest You by Henna Pryor.
As someone who feels awkward a lot of the time, I felt seen when I read this book! In a world full of picture-perfect social media feeds, it’s easy to play the comparison game and feel like you’re the only person who ever feels awkward or uncomfortable. This book helped me realize that if I don't feel at least a little awkward, I'm probably not challenging myself personally or professionally. The book is a quick read and the author’s tone keeps the book engaging, but she also did a Ted Talk on awkwardness that’s about 15 minutes long if you want the short version.
