We want to take a moment to thank you all for your enthusiastic support of Morgan’s appointment to CEO and my appointment to President. It is our absolute honor to continue Forrest and Charlotte’s legacy and lead what we firmly believe is the greatest team. While we will certainly continue to elevate and build upon our heritage, we will always hold true to being a family-led, American-manufactured and community-focused company!

Keep that Modern Day Engine Alive

This month's spotlight is one of our most popular engine oil additives and one of the leading engine oil additives on the market: Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer.

A common question our Customer Service and Sales teams hear is, "Should I use this product in my modern vehicle? Consumers are savvy and have access to more information than ever before, leading them to be increasingly cautious with the engine oil weight they select for their modern-day vehicle to properly protect their engine and the parts that may be under warranty. They question whether the thickness (viscosity) of our Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer will change the viscosity of their lightweight engine oil...and it's a fair question.

The fact is, Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer could change the viscosity of the engine oil and could also impact the vehicles' ability to operate some of the special systems and sensors of the modern-day engine. But not to worry! Lucas has a perfect engine oil additive product for modern engines. 

Lucas Low Viscosity Engine Oil Stabilizer is the perfect engine oil additive when a lightweight viscosity (e.g., 02-20) is recommended and the vehicle is a 2016 or newer model that may have special sensors on the engine. Lucas Low Viscosity Oil Stabilizer will not change the viscosity of the lightweight engine oil and allows systems and sensors to operate properly. This product really helps to reduce friction and, in turn, promotes fuel economy. It also can reduce wear on the metal parts and protect the engine oil from oxidation, which keeps the oil from breaking down as quickly. It also keeps the crankcase clean, which is especially important in a modern-day engine. 

Isn't it nice to know that some of our original products are still at the top of the list when it comes to sales in the automotive space, and that we have excellent newer products to serve the ever-changing automotive aftermarket space? In 1999, Forrest and Charlotte purchased an 1800-acre ranch in Cross Timbers, MO to fulfill a dream that would become what is now known as Lucas Cattle Company, spanning over 16,000 acres across 3 counties. Affectionately referred to as simply The Ranch, this massive operation is home to the largest registered Simmental herd in the USA. 2022 marked the beginning of a new genetics program to host some of the best bloodlines in the country. The Ranch also manages a large commercial herd, in concert with Purina, to develop and study the best feed products available to ranches and farms across the country. The Ranch is also home to a beautiful Cutting Horse breeding operation.

• 32 employees
• 27 homes
• 2400 registered Simmental cows, bulls, calves
• 1400 commercial herd cows, bulls, calves
• 48 cutting horses and breeding mares
• Feed estimated at 24,000,000 pounds annually
• Pastures include 46 wells for water supply
• Harvest 9000 bales of hay and 300 acres of corn annually
• Guest Lodge is 10,000 Sq. Ft with 14 bedrooms, sleeps 34 people
• Ranch revenue generated through 2 live auctions - spring and fall sales

• In 2022 and 2023, we installed 6 MILES of pipe fence and 16 MILES of wire fence

Official Partnership with Comercial Lucar

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of Lucas Oil in the Brazilian market through our partnership with Comercial Lucar, the largest wholesale distributor in the country. Comercial Lucar will serve as the exclusive distributor of Lucas Oil additives in Brazil. Currently, there are 11 Lucas Oil additive SKUs available to consumers, and we anticipate the introduction of Motor Oils in the coming weeks, further expanding our product offerings in the Brazilian market.

New Crossover Series Coming in 2024!

In the initial installment of this series, Morgan Lucas and Tom Meents, renowned Monster Truck Professor, swapped roles for a day. Morgan had the unique opportunity to step into Tom's shoes and drive the Monster Truck at Monster Jam University. Continuing this exciting journey, Morgan and Tom recently visited Corydon, where Tom assumed the role of President of Lucas Oil for a day.

The Arrow McLaren team wanted to join in on the fun too, so Alexander Rossi and David Malukas swapped roles with Cynthia Gauthier and Linsey Read. Cynthia was at the Indy 500 with the Arrow team and participated in a drive experience in the 2-seater car ride. Monster Jam returned the swap, inviting Malukas and Rossi to drive the Lucas Stabilizer Truck at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Soldier’s Wish

In 2023, Lucas Oil and Soldier’s Wish teamed up to support veterans and military families in Indiana. Soldier's Wish is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting veterans, service members, and their families.

Marine Veteran James Logan has dedicated his life to serving others, both during his military service and as a civilian. James, who is facing significant health challenges and financial hardship, was nominated and selected to receive a wish from Soldiers Wish.

Thanks to Lucas Oil and Mowery Heating & Cooling, he was gifted the funds to replace the HVAC system for his home. This vital upgrade will not only ensure their safety and comfort during the harsh winter months in Indiana, but it also will help ease some of their financial burden as well.

In addition to the heating unit, James received sideline passes and the sidecar ride to lead the Indianapolis Colts onto the field for Salute to Service during the game in November.
