Specialty: HR Planning and Management, organizational planning and resource utilization, corporate policy and compliance, compensation and total rewards, employee experience, HR best practice and process optimization  

Standing tall at a whopping 5’2” and easily identified by her distinguishable sneeze, is Megan Burakiewicz. Megan is blessed to lead the delivery of all HR services across all employees within the Lucas Oil tribe. Her job is to coach an effective client-service HR team that instills company-wide trust. She is responsible for the design, implementation and optimization of systems and processes which allow the team to coordinate, grow and invest in employees in ways that move the organization’s goals forward. Often referred to as a fiery and fierce shot of espresso, don’t let that fool you – her heart melts for humans and she has a passion for connecting people with their purpose. When not cheering on the people of Lucas Oil, she disguises herself as a suburban mom and can be found cheering on her two kids at their soccer and baseball games.

Elsie King

Homebase: Corydon, Plant 1

Position: Athletic Trainer (Manager of Human Resources)

Specialty: Training and development, performance management, plant policy and process, worker’s comp & safety, leave management, resource management & utilization

No stranger to manufacturing, and recently trading her Tyson Chicken Nuggets for Lucas Oil Heavy Duty Stabilizer, is Elsie King! Elsie took no time diving into the messy and overlooked HR functions in Corydon, and has proven she has a flair for organizing, streamlining, and simplifying! Her first order of business is to evolve plant policies and processes to ensure they effectively support business continuity, with a priority focus on attendance, worker’s comp and leave of absence. Once tackled, she is going to turn her attention towards training and developing our Corydon team, building career paths, and resource planning & utilization. Being a Grandmother to her 10 grand kids, ranging from 4 to 15 years of age, isn’t the only thing she is a Master in – Elsie is on track to obtain her master’s degree in human resources in May!

Amanda Kendrick

Homebase: Corydon, Plant 2

Position: Scout  (Human Resources Generalist)

Specialty: Corydon recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, payroll and benefits support, shoulder to cry on

A lifelong Corydon hometown local and a true Southern Belle, Amanda Kendrick joined the team as Lead Scout and quickly warmed the heart of our Corydon team. Amanda oversees the recruitment and onboarding for all plant-based positions. When she’s not scouting out the next best players to join the Lucas Oil bench, you will find her coaching supervisors on how to encourage a system of accountability and performance, supporting the payroll and benefits process, and enriching the employee experience.  When not scouting for the Lucas Oil team, you can find her spending time with her family or reading a book.

Megan Read

Homebase: Indianapolis

Position: Utility Player (Senior Human Resources Generalist)

Specialty: Indianapolis, Estate, Speedway, Ranch, Late Model employee experience, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, payroll back-up, Paylocity Subject Matter Expert

Fueled by her Ziploc bag of Cheerios and frozen strawberries, Megan Read is the team’s esteemed utility player, able to play every position and satisfy every HR function. Megan oversees the entire employee lifecycle for all LOP Corporate, MAVTV, Speedway and Ranch employees, ranging from recruitment and onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, offboarding and all the areas in between. Read is also our team’s backup payroll guru and Paylocity subject matter expert. Just in case her list of talents wasn’t long enough, Megan is adding another skill to her resume this Spring – becoming a Mom! Coming soon in May: Baby Read!

Rae Anne Motsinger

Homebase: Indianapolis and Brownsburg

Position: Team Bookie (Payroll and Benefits Specialist)

Specialty: Payroll and Benefits

Last up to bat, and the employee’s fan favorite position, is the fun-loving, cat-lady behind your pay checks, Rae Anne Motsinger! Rae Anne’s job is to make sure you get paid on time, accurately and in line with regulatory compliance. A former Accountant turned Payroll Professional, Rae Anne gets to mix two things she is passionate about: Money and People. You won’t meet another payroll professional as personable and employee-focused! In addition to her payroll capacity, she is the primary point of contact for benefits coordination and administration. When she isn’t making payments, you can find Rae Anne as the test subject of her daughter’s aesthetician degree, tending to her herd of cats or under the American Flag at a Colts football game (it’s a good story – you should ask).
