Additionally, racers in Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street will vie for titles at national events exclusively showcasing Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competition.
Lucas Oil Products, Inc., a worldwide leader in the production of oils, greases, and problem-solving additives, is in its 7th year of a multiyear commitment to back the NHRA Sportsman series. The Lucas Oil Sportsman series features 7, extremely competitive drag race divisions.
Drivers in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series are competing for a purse of $560,000 in year-end champions’ bonuse's, including $37,500 each for National Champions in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car. Divisional champions in those two categories from each of NHRA’s 7 geographical regions will earn $8,500; $3,000 to the champions in both Competetion Eliminator and Super Stock; $2,000 each to the champions in Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. In addition, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series features bonus money for competitors through the $100,000 Jeg’s Allstars, a special event showcasing the best drivers in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, and the $45,000 NHRA Perfectly Strange Performance Award.
