|Houston's Brogdon hopes to do well at hometown race
A wide smile crosses the face of ProtectTheHarvest.com Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon at the prospects of doing well at this weekend's O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA SpringNationals. That's because Royal Purple Raceway in Houston is his hometown track; Brogdon lives in Tomball, Texas, north of the city, and his race shop is housed in Houston.

|Patison Finished on Podium at I-10 Speedway
Jason Patison and team traveled to Blythe California on April 19th, for round 3 of the Lucas Oil Modified Series. Patison's STR Chevrolet was fast right off the trailer but was hit with some very uncommon mechanical failures during the weekend. "Mechanical failures are just part of racing but we had some really weird stuff go wrong, we had the float in brand new carburetor break and then we had the stud that holds our air cleaner sheer off and I lost the whole cleaner assembly while I was running down the straightaway."
|Travis Irving, Ryan Partridge take Lucas Oil Late Model Twins victories at Irwindale
Travis Irving won his first feature since 2011 and Ryan Partridge took his third of the season in the Lucas Oil Late Model Twins at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night before 3,823 spectators. Irving broke Partridge's three-race winning streak in the Lucas Oil Late Models in the second feature. The 28-year-old from Corona, Calif.
