Zahn Turner inherited his passion for motorsport from his father and after beginning in karts at just four years old, Zahn became a successful speedway driver in his own right and the Turners were the first father and son combination to have raced in all four classes at Western Springs Speedway in Auckland, New Zealand. After his father, Shane Turner, tragically passed away due to a heart attack while behind the wheel racing at Western Springs in 2008, Zahn stepped away from racing for a few years.

After some sole searching and reorganizing of his life, Zahn decided to do what he knew his dad would want and rejoined his racing family at Western Springs Speedway. Zahn is proving not only did he not lose any speed during his time off, but somehow he seems to have picked his racing game up a few notches and is making the top step of the podium his own personal property in the F2 class at Western Springs. This past weekend, Zahn recorded his 3 rd feature win out of 6 races so far this season in his Lucas Oil, Midas Onehunga, Kenton Automotive sponsored Terminator Chassis. Zahn’s other finishes have been two second place finishes and one 4th. After only competing in 6 of the 10 events so far this season, Zahn finds himself sitting in 2nd place in the championship points with his eyes clearly focused on taking that top seed at the end of the season.
