FONTANA CALIFORNIA (Monday, November 9, 2009) - Gary Ross and Ron De Hoop take Runner-Up finishes at the PSCA World Finals.  The event took place at Auto Club Dragway in Fontana California.  Ross drove his 2005 Pontiac Grand Am and De Hoop drove his 1967 Chevelle to the final round.  Both drivers were the number five qualifier in their classes.

In the final round, De Hoop would have to face the red hot Sergio Felipe.  When the lights went green, Felipe had a .002 starting line advantage.  At the finish line. De Hoop took the stripe and automatically lost because he ran under the 10.60 second index by more than Felipe.  De Hoop ran 10.569 seconds, 119.07 mph to Felipe's 10.588 second, 121.00 mph pass.  Two weeks prior at the PSCA Fall Nationals at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, De Hoop was also the runner-up in the Open Comp class.  Ron finishes the 2009 PSCA season third in Mean Street Championship points and fifth in Open Comp Championship points.
