This past weekend was the finals in the first ever Outlaw Turbo points series
CORONA CALIFORNIA (Wednesday October 28, 2009) - This past weekend was the finals in the first ever Outlaw Turbo points series. This class puts carbureted turbo charged and carbureted nitrous vw cars against each other in an all out heads up 1/8 mile race. Out of all the turbo charged cars in this class, one of only two nitrous powered cars in the class (both using Lucas Oil) piloted by Roger Crawford. Roger won the over all points series. Using Lucas Oils 0-20w Pro Stock oil gave Roger the winning edge over some of the quickest and fastest turbo charged "pro mod style" vw's in the world.
Thanks to Tom Bogner and the fine R&D crew at Lucas Oils for the great oil's provided to test and run at the track. With extensive dyno testing of new oils, this allowed Roger to find more horse power than ever before with his race program and give him the winning edge.
Here is a video of the very close final round. Roger Crawford (left lane) vs. Eric C. Roger had won the championship 2 rounds before this run.
