Grand Opening of Palo Verde College Automotive Technology Program
The Hoosier Tire West Series was in town for Saturday night racing at I-10 Speedway of Blythe Ca. However, racing came in a distant second to the big news of the weekend, the grand opening of the Automotive Technology center at Palo Verde College. Every body from the local school board to the mayor himself was on hand for the unveiling of the state-of-the-at facility.
The massive new structure houses a variety of hydraulic lifts and automotive servicing machines, an expansive machine shop with everything needed to fabricate custom parts, and a welding shop, just to name a few things. The new Automotive Technology center will give students a chance to be on the cutting edge of the automotive industry as they prepare for their respective careers. The center will also serve the community and involve the local high school in general automotive and racing activities.
Lucas Oil Products is extremely happy to have the opportunity to be involved as we will provide all lubricants needed, guest speakers and extensive research and development resources.
