Lucas Oil is Choice of Anderson Police Department
Unhappy with gas prices and hoping to do his part to break America’s dependence on fossil fuels, Anderson, Indiana Police Chief Frank Burrows was determined to switch to synthetic motor oil for police cars.
It so happened, the Chief is also a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. When Lucas Oil won naming rights to the new Indianapolis Colts stadium, Chief Burrows decided Lucas Oil would be the synthetic oil product of choice for the department.
Presently, 21 of the department’s 28 patrol vehicles – all 2002 and 2006 Chevy Impalas with V-6 engines - now use Lucas Oil. Eight new patrol vehicles are on order and those will also utilize Lucas Oil. The department is planning an analysis of repairs and fuel consumption and expects to see a positive impact thanks to the new product!
It took effort to find a supplier for the product, so T and J Tire of Anderson prepared a special order to supply the department with Lucas Oil. T and J Tire was already stocking Lucas Oil’s injector cleaner, but now the business plans on stocking the full line of Lucas Oil products!
