FWRC Comparison of Lucas Oil

This is a report on the comparative testing between Lucas Products Synthetic 10/30 Plus Oil and other synthetic oils that FWRC has used in their oil pump dyno. The oil pump dyno is used by FWRC to test each and every oil pump we manufacture and repair for quality and integrity for applications including NASCAR, Open Wheel, NHRA, IHRA Off Road Racing and various other racing series.

The results of our testing have proven favorable to Lucas Oil.

The Lucas Synthetic 10/30 oil performed exceptionally well under high vacuum pump applications compared to other synthetic oils that FWRC has used. Test results were very consistent through various temperature ranges for several pump applications. The oil appears to be more stable as evidenced by less aeration compared to other oils that have been used.

As engine builders have recognized the benefits of negative crankcase pressure, aeration has become a major point if concern. When trying to maintain negative crankcase pressure the integrity of the oil and its resistance to separation is very critical and the Lucas oil performed well in these regards.
