Lucas Oil On the Edge To Premier On Speed Channel in Fourth Quarter

Lucas Oil Products, along with Ken Stout and Steve Grein of NeWave Productions, recently announced they have signed an agreement with SPEED Channel to air a twenty-six week variety motorsports show that will begin airing in November 2004 running into 2005. Lucas Oil…On the Edge will cover a multitude of different types of motorsports. Specific air time has yet to be determined but the show will air either Saturday or Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST.

Lucas Oil…On the Edge will be an edgy, exciting show that will expose SPEED viewers to a plethora of motorsports that do not usually have a chance to air on national television. The show will feature stock car racing figure 8 racing, rock crawling, snowmobile racing on grass, wheel stand competitions, stock car train racing, Speed Truck’s “Driven to Rock” and street drag racers reaching speeds of 200 miles per hour.

“Lucas Oil is very excited to be part of On the Edge,” said Bob Patison, Executive Vice President of Lucas Oil Products. “Especially seeing how we are not just a sponsor, we also have some creative and content control which Lucas Oil is very proud of.”

“My involvement with SPEED has really escalated over the past couple of years,” said Stout, who will serve as host of Lucas Oil…On the Edge. “As an on-air talent I will be involved in excess of one hundred originals shows on SPEED in 2004 and I certainly look forward to expanding our relationship to Executive Producer/Host with them.”

“I am really looking forward to the new challenges that Lucas Oil…On The Edge will bring,” said Executive Producer, Grein. “We have been producing shows for over ten years, but each of these shows is different, with different camera angles, challenges and obstacles.”

Once Lucas Oil and NeWave Productions got together it quickly became obvious that the show belonged on SPEED Channel. SPEED has grown dramatically over the years and now reaches over sixty-five million homes nationwide.
