Lucas Oil Signed as Official Oil of NDRA

Lucas Oil Products, the world leader in heavy duty and high-performance oils and lubricants, recently announced they have formed a partnership with the NOPI Drag Racing Association (NDRA) as the Official Oil.

“We are very excited about our new partnership with NOPI and we are very pleased that Lucas is now their official oil,” said Forrest Lucas, president, Lucas Oil Products. “This is a huge note of confidence for our product line. We wanted to be a part of the NOPI series because of the successful way they turned car ownership and racing into a lifestyle for the many young drivers and fans that participate. We feel this series will help us tremendously with our marketing efforts with these young people.”

“We have just completed testing on two new products that we have designed with the young drivers in mind,” continued Lucas. “One is a high-powered Octane Booster and the other is a light, super-slick Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer. Both products are designed to provide racers with added speed and power and fall perfectly in line with NOPI drag racing. In addition to these products, Lucas has a complete line of racing oils, gear oils and additives for all types of cars, trucks and race vehicles.”

Although Lucas Oil has long been involved with various forms of motorsports, this is the first major sponsorship within the sport compact arena. Lucas Oil will also have on-site representation at all NDRA events as well as exposure on NOPI TunerVision, which airs on SPEED Channel.

“As the NDRA continues to evolve as a major player in the sport compact racing scene, acquiring well-known sponsors is critical to our continued success,” said Michael Meyers, NDRA President. “Partnering with a company so involved in motorsports like Lucas Oil is major milestone in the development of the NDRA.”

The 2004 NOPI Racing Series Xbox Cup Championship will kick-off April 24 and 25 in Dinwiddie, Virginia. The series will travel the country for 11 races, culminating with the NOPI Racing Series Xbox Cup Championship World Finals on October 16 and 17, 2004 in Ennis, Texas.

Lucas Oil Products is also the Official Oil of the National Hot Rod Association, Xtreme Dirt Car Series, United Speed Alliance Racing Series, Lucas Oil Championship Off-Road Racing Series, Lucas Oil American Tractor Pullers Association and the Ford SVTOA.
