Lucas Oil Products Continues Sponsorship of NHRA Sportsman Series Through 2009

Lucas Oil Products, long-time sponsor of the National Hot Rod Association’s Sportsman Series and supporter of several top professional teams, announced today that it will continue its sponsorship of the NHRA Lucas Oil Sportsman Series through the year 2009, according to Lucas Oil President, Forrest Lucas.

Lucas Oil Products also announced that it has reached agreements with the NHRA to become the Official Oil Sponsor of both the NHRA POWERade Series and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series through the 2009 season, while also becoming presenting sponsor of “NHRA 2-Day,” a 30-minute, weekly television show focusing on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

"Our company’s growth can be directly attributed to the exposure and awareness Lucas Oil Products has received as part of our association with NHRA. I am a supporter and fan of NHRA racing and intend to be involved in this sport for years to come."

In addition to the recent announcements, the 2004 NHRA campaign will also see Lucas Oil Product as the primary sponsor of Morgan Lucas in the Top Alcohol Dragster class. While also returning as associate sponsor for Brandon Bernstein and the Budweiser/Lucas Oil dragster, Snake Racing teammates Larry Dixon, Tommy Johnson, Jr., and Ron Capps as well as Tony Bartone and Jim Dunn Racing.

Lucas Oil Products, the world leader in heavy duty and high performance lubricants and fuel treatments in the trucking and auto parts industries, is also a major supporter of several other racing series and teams. Including, Pro-4 Champion Carl Renezeder in the Lucas Oil Championship Off Road Racing Series, Jay Fogleman and Johnny Rumley in the United Speed Alliance Racing series and Mike Duncan in the NASCAR Winston West series. Lucas Oil will also return as series sponsor for the American Tractor Pullers Association and Official Lubricant of the Xtreme Dirt Car Series.
