December 3rd, 2007 (Orlando, FL)—The lights may have gone down on this year’s Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, but Team Lucas and the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League are still shining after a very successful exhibition this year. Amongst the thousands of booths at the trade show, the show stopper seemed to be all of the excitement highlighted at the Team Lucas exhibit. Team Lucas was well represented, not only by the Team Lucas business partners, but by the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series as well.
In the Team Lucas exhibit there were streaming videos showing all of the excitement from the 2007 Pro Pulling League and Late Model Dirt Series seasons, as well as the polished Pro Mod 4x4 Dixie Chopper Truck of Jake Zaring. The Dixie Chopper machine gleamed under the spotlights, and was a definite attention grabber. Alongside Zaring’s Pro Mod 4x4 was the #83 Super Late Model machine of the “Silver Shark”, Scott James. Bolstering the success of the Team Lucas exhibit at the show was the Lucas Oil-Team Lucas Press Conference.
Thursday afternoon of PRI gave way to the Lucas Oil-Team Lucas press conference which unveiled a multitude of announcements for the upcoming year in Lucas Oil Motorsports. The Lucas Motorsports Hour will feature all-new grassroots motorsports campaign, packed with unique episodes featuring the Lucas Late Model Dirt Series, IHBA Hot Boats, Lucas Oil Pro-Pulling League, ASA Modified, NASCAR Super Late Model, USAR Hooter’s Pro Cup, USAC Sprint and Silver Crown events from around the country. Next up was the announcement that Speed Wong racing has partnered with Lucas Oil for the 2008 season, “Speed Wong Racing has teamed up with Lucas Oil Products to field 2 cars in the NASCAR Grand National West Series. One will be piloted full time by Lucas Oil driver, Jason Patison, while the other will be have Brian Wong behind the wheel,” exclaimed Kenny Sargent, the ringleader of the Speed Freaks.
To cap off these tremendous announcements, Lucas Oil Motorsports unveiled even more major plans for 2008. On tap for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for 2008 is the Inaugural Jasper Engines Road to Wheatland, which will qualify drivers for the 2nd annual Super Clean Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway, in Wheatland, MO. Rounding out the announcements, was for the first time ever, race fans across the nation will be able to tune in to the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals presented by General Tire, on live television via HBO-Pay Per View on Saturday, January 12, 2008 from the Tulsa [Okla.] Expo Center.
The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League is owned by Lucas Oil Products and supported by several corporate business partners: Dixie Chopper, R&L Carriers, Torco Fuels, General Tire, Summit Racing, K&N Filters, KC Hilites, Super Chips, Jim Beam, Fatheadz Eyewear, and Super Clean.
