In June of 2000 I went to a Las Vegas truck show and talked to your salesman about how good Lucas products are. Lucas Oil and the Anaheim Ducks are partnered up again for the 2007 season. The two organizations have had an ongoing relationship since Lucas Oil first appeared at the Honda Center, home to the Ducks, in 2006. The Anaheim Ducks are a very competitive NHL hockey team and they finished off 2006 strong, posting an impressive semi-final round finish in the playoffs. So far 2007 is going even better, the Ducks are dominating the competition and are proving that they are the team to beat.

As you may have heard the new Lucas Oil stadium, future home-field of the Indianapolis Colts is right on track for it’s grand opening in 2008. The state-of-the-art facility will be feature a retractable dome ceiling and will hold nearly 70,000 fans. The Colt’s are currently enjoying another terrific season as they sit atop their division with a 10-2 record. Quarterback Peyton manning has successfully passed for 3,000 yards for the 9th straight season, tying him with Dan Marino for the 2nd longest streak in NFL history.

The Hoosier Tire West Series was in town for Saturday night racing at I-10 Speedway of Blythe Ca. However, racing came in a distant second to the big news of the weekend, the grand opening of the Automotive Technology center at Palo Verde College. Every body from the local school board to the mayor himself was on hand for the unveiling of the state-of-the-at facility.

Palo Verde College began its new semester with a new technology building and a sponsor for its automotive program. The automotive program is now the "Lucas Oil Automotive Technology Program." Lucas Oil Products, Inc., which has sponsored races at the Colorado River Country Fairgrounds for the past five years, entered into an agreement with Palo Verde College for the naming rights to the automotive program.
